Pirates take third overall at Fullerton invite
FULLERTON -- The Orange Coast College men's cross country team earned a solid third-place team finish with 79 points at Cal State Fullerton's John Elders Invitational on Friday evening.
Racing against both two- and four-year programs, it was a quality finish before setting up this week's Orange Empire Conference Championships, which take place on Friday at 10 a.m. at Saddleback College.
Three OCC runners -- Bill Dang, Bernie Enriquez and Jacob Fujimoto -- earned top-25 finishes for Coast. Dang finished 21st overall with a time of 25 minutes, 52.5, followed closely in 22nd place by Enriquez (25:57.9) and Fujimoto in 24th place (26:09.1).
Other top Pirate times included Nathan Garcia (26:27.5), Cayden Reish (27:10.1), Peter Cao (29:28.6) and JC Overpeck (30:32.3),
