Pirates earn solid marks at Arnie Robinson invite
SAN DIEGO -- The Orange Coast College men's track and field team headed down to San Diego Mesa College for the 2026 Arnie Robinson Invitational on Friday and there were some solid times and marks earned by the Pirates against some of the top track programs in Southern California.
A pair of Pirates earned a pair of top-3 marks in the high jump. Coast's Josh Santos cleared 6-feet, 4 3/4 inches for second place overall, while his teammate, Cash Burton, earned third place with a jump of 6-2 3/4.
Coast also had three top-5 performances on the track. Josh Miller placed fourth overall in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.82 seconds.
In the 800, it was Bernie Enriquez who crossed the finish line in fourth place with a time of 1:57.41.
Another fourth-place time was turned in by OCC's 4x400 relay of Santos, Anthony Buttacavoli, Jaylen Nichols and Sean McEwen, who finished with a time of 3:20.35 seconds.
The Pirates will head to Cal State San Marcos for the Mangrum Invitational on Friday, beginning at 10 a.m.
