Pirates take of business against Citrus in three-game sweep

GLENDORA -- Sophomore outside Karlee Riggs had 18 kills and 14 digs to lead the Orange Coast College women's volleyball team to a three-game sweep over host Citrus College on Friday afternoon.
 
In the middle, sophomore Morgan Link was equally strong, notching 10 kills on 18 attempts for a .588 attack percentage. On the right side, Isabel Emrich came up with six kills, Dana Nicholson and Hayley Martin each added four kills.
 
Sophomore setter Allison Lumsden was the pace-setter for the Pirate offense, dishing out 37 assists to go along with 10 digs, while libero Andi Frisina matched Lumsden on defense with 10 digs of her own.
 
OCC (2-0) will return to action on Wednesday at San Bernardino Valley, beginning at 5 p.m.
